Corey O'Malley is a physical therapist originally hailing from Arizona. He greatly enjoys establishing a productive relationship during the process of physical therapy and long term athletic development. As a former NCAA DIII collegiate goalkeeper and post-surgical orthopedic patient he understands how hard it is to improve and will communicate effectively with you along the way. He continues his pursuit of lifelong learning by maintaining specialties, communicating with other specialists, and teaching students from undergraduates to residents and fellows.
Corey played soccer for Wartburg College in Waverly, IA before completing his undergraduate studies at ASU. Corey then worked as a strength and conditioning specialist coaching individual athletes and teams with a special emphasis in transitioning patients from rehabilitation to optimal performance. While earning his doctorate in physical therapy he completed clinical training at Groote Schuur Hospital in Cape Town, South Africa (the site of the world’s first successful heart transplant) in the Trauma/Orthopedics department. Corey then went on to complete sports residency training with the Seattle Sounder's S2 and Academy teams, the Port of Seattle Fire Department, and Tukwila police officers in the Seattle, WA, area. Today he continues to be a contributing mentor within several Washington area sports/orthopedics residencies. When not treating patients Corey enjoys lifting weights, hiking, and reading.
